Security rules.
- Keep in a safe place and do not disclose to anyone your user name and password. Do not write them down on paper, in a file or on another medium.
- Use a password, consisting of small and capital letters in combination with digits and length not shorter than 6 characters. Change your login password regularly from Self-Service>>Change password.
- Check the indications for security of the connection with the Internet banking webpage:
- address of the webpage must start with https, as the full address must start with https://ebb.ubb.bg;
- in the address bar or in status bar you must see locked padlock, that indicates encrypted connection with the bank;
- internet banking web site is certified from GeoTrust, that you can check with (double) click on locked padlock;
- in status bar you must see that you are working in Trusted site zone (about Internet Explorer) if you have made browser settings.
- Enter your user name and password only on the page for Internet banking at address https://ebb.ubb.bg
- Always exit U-online with the 'Exit' button before closing your browser.
- Check the information about login in the system (date, time, IP address) from Self-Service>>U-online Log info.
- Save your digital certificate on an external medium, and not in your computer and enter a transport password for the protection of its copy. Upon using of the certificate on another PC, always delete it from the browser after use, and also delete the file, from which it has been installed. Always install your certificate as not exportable or use a master password (for Mozilla Firefox).
- Upon using a QES (Qualified Electronic Signature), turn off the device from the computer when you do not use Internet banking.
- In case of need for providing access to your computer to third parties, delete from it all installed certificates.
- To enhance the security and as additional protection upon access to effecting payments in U-online, it is necessary to be used one of the following ways of working by:
- Digital certificate, issued by UBB along with a dynamic SMS password - for personal banking.
- Digital certificate, issued by UBB along with a U-code device for generating a dynamic password - for personal and business banking.
- QES (Qualified Electronic Signature) - for personal and business banking.
- Use for work a computer, which is under your control and avoid public computers in Internet clubs, libraries, offices or others, for which you are not sure whether they provide secure and reliable Internet access.
- Do not visit Internet pages with suspicious content, do not install and do not use software of suspicious origin.
- Turn off the browser options for remembering user names and passwords.
- Maintain and update regularly the system software used by you.
- Protect your computer with installation of antivirus, anti-spyware programs and a firewall and update them regularly.
- About access to service Internet banking is required static IP address within the session with the bank.
Upon a suspicion for an unauthorized access on your behalf to U-online you should immediately inform UBB E-banking at +359 (0) 0700 117 17 or +359 (2) 980 22 35 or notify the closest branch of the bank.
At any time you can block payments through U-online from Self-Service>>Certificate block.
